Our tea masters journey from Darjeeling's misty mountain slopes to Assam's fertile valley plains, seeking out leaves that reflects the true character of its terrain. High-altitude gardens lend delicate, floral notes, while valley-grown leaf brings deep, malty strength. By sourcing from both landscapes, we craft teas with contrast and balance - each cup carrying the essence of where it was grown, chosen with care and expertise.

Why choose loose leaf tea?

Loose leaf tea delivers better flavour and aroma primarily because it retains whole or large leaf pieces rather than the fine fannings and dust typically found in tea bags. This larger leaf structure preserves the essential oils and volatile aromatic compounds that give tea its character since they haven't been broken down or oxidised through excess surface area exposure. When steeped, loose leaves also have room to fully unfurl and expand, allowing water to make even, thorough contact with the leaf and extract flavour more completely and evenly than the compressed, restricted leaf in a bag.
